PUERTO VALLARTA, JALISCO—City authorities have raised red and purple flags at Holly and Flamingos beaches following reports of a crocodile in the area, prompting officials from Civil Protection and the local Fire Department to step up monitoring efforts.
According to municipal officials, the flags were put in place after a crocodile was seen on Holly Beach. Warning signs have been posted around the river outlet near the beach to alert visitors of possible risks. In addition to Holly Beach, Flamingos Beach has also been flagged for the same reason.
Local Civil Protection and Firefighter teams continue to patrol both beaches, advising beachgoers to exercise caution and adhere to all posted signage. While the rest of Puerto Vallarta’s beaches remain open, officials recommend a heightened level of awareness to avoid hazardous situations.
For further updates and safety guidelines, visitors and residents are encouraged to follow official municipal channels and heed all local warnings when visiting Puerto Vallarta’s beaches.
