Puerto Vallarta Prepares for 13 International Cruise Arrivals in February

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, is gearing up for a month of international cruise arrivals in February, with a total of 13 ships scheduled to dock at its scenic port. According to the monthly calendar released by the Administration of the National Port System (ASIPONA) in the city, this includes three double arrivals, providing ample opportunities for tourists to explore this popular destination.

Kicking off the cruise season for February is the Emerald Princess, which is set to arrive on Saturday, February 3. The excitement continues with double arrivals on Tuesday, February 6, and Wednesday, February 7.

The Carnival Panorama and the Navigator Of The Seas are the first to grace Puerto Vallarta’s shores on February 6, while on the following day, the Discovery Princess, Norwegian Bliss, and the return of the Emerald Princess are anticipated on February 7 and 9, respectively.

As the month unfolds, visitors can look forward to more cruise ships making their way to Puerto Vallarta. On Sunday, February 11, the Crown Princess will be docked at Pier 1 from seven in the morning until five in the afternoon. The Norwegian Bliss and Carnival Panorama will return on February 21 and 27, providing additional opportunities for travelers to enjoy the city’s attractions.

February will conclude with a double arrival on the 28th, featuring the Discovery Princess and the Norwegian Bliss. While this year’s February cruise schedule shows 13 arrivals, it marks a slight decrease from the 19 cruises that graced Puerto Vallarta’s shores in February 2023.

Comparing the statistics, it is evident that Puerto Vallarta has been a favored destination for cruise travelers in recent years. In 2023, the city welcomed over 540 thousand cruise passengers, demonstrating a significant increase from the 400 thousand passengers in 2022. Regarding the number of cruise ships arriving at the maritime terminal, 174 were recorded in 2023, slightly fewer than the 186 that visited in 2022, but passenger numbers exceeded expectations.

As Puerto Vallarta continues to attract cruise enthusiasts, it remains a top choice for those seeking a blend of natural beauty, vibrant culture, and unforgettable experiences along Mexico’s Pacific coast.
