Puerto Vallarta Weather Today – June 14, 2026

Puerto Vallarta started Sunday warm and humid. As of 7:18 a.m. local time, weather data available to Vallarta Daily showed mostly cloudy conditions near 24°C (75°F), with the day expected to build toward about 31°C (89°F). Conditions can change quickly during the rainy season, especially after midday.

The better window for errands, beach time, and outdoor plans is the morning into early afternoon. The current hourly and daily forecasts for Puerto Vallarta indicate increasing clouds, with showers or thunderstorms becoming more likely from about 2 p.m. into the evening. The daily chance of rain is near 60%, with heavier pockets possible if storms form over the bay or the mountains.

Humidity will make the heat feel higher than the thermometer. The heat index or RealFeel could reach about 42°C (107°F) in direct sun, so shade, water, and shorter outdoor stretches are the safer plan for midday.

Winds are expected to stay light to modest, generally near 11 km/h (7 mph) from the northwest, though thunderstorms can produce brief gusts. The Puerto Vallarta Rivermouth surf forecast, issued late Saturday, does not show a major surf day for city beaches today, but it does note rain heaviest Sunday afternoon and generally light wind. Beachgoers should still watch local flags. Thunder, lightning, runoff near river mouths, and changing surf can quickly make a manageable beach unsafe.

The Servicio Meteorológico Nacional storm-potential map was scheduled for another update at 3 p.m. Sunday, or sooner if conditions changed. Residents and visitors should recheck official advisories if darker clouds build over the Sierra Madre, the bay, or the hotel zone.

No verified citywide road closure or port restriction was confirmed in the sources reviewed early Sunday. That should not be read as an all-clear for the full day. Afternoon storms can leave standing water on low-lying streets, near arroyos and underpasses, and on routes that already drain poorly during the rainy season. Boat tours should confirm conditions with operators before departure, especially for afternoon or evening trips.
