Puerto Vallarta starts Friday partly cloudy at 25°C / 78°F, with a warm, humid morning and a forecast high near 32°C / 90°F. The humidity will make the day feel hotter, with the peak heat index likely closer to 35°C / 95°F during the warmer midday stretch.
Rain is not the main issue early today. Current hourly guidance for Puerto Vallarta weather keeps the chance of rain low through the morning and early afternoon, generally under 10%, with only a small signal for a late-afternoon or evening shower as clouds build after about 5 p.m.
There is no active tropical storm signal for Puerto Vallarta this morning. The National Hurricane Center’s Eastern Pacific outlook said tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next seven days.
Beach and bay conditions still need routine rainy-season attention. The Servicio Meteorológico Nacional has included Jalisco in broader wind guidance, with possible gusts of 30 to 50 km/h / 19 to 31 mph, and coastal swell guidance includes seas of 1.5 to 2.5 meters / 5 to 8 feet in affected areas. That does not mean every beach in Puerto Vallarta will see rough water, but swimmers should follow posted flags and lifeguard instructions.
For boat tours, fishing trips, and small-craft plans, check with the operator before departure and review the latest SEMAR port-status board if conditions change during the day.
Road impacts should be limited this morning. If a late-day shower forms, watch for brief ponding on low-lying streets and slick pavement, and for reduced visibility during downpours. Outdoor errands, beach time, and construction work are better placed earlier in the day, with extra water, shade breaks, and flexibility for a cloudier evening.
