Puerto Vallarta Weather Today – June 25, 2026

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, June 25, 2026 – Puerto Vallarta started Thursday under cloudy, humid conditions, with light wind and a rising chance of rain later in the day.

As of 5:57 a.m. local time, the current weather report showed 26°C (78°F) in Puerto Vallarta, with a RealFeel of 31°C (87°F). Winds were light from the southeast at about 8 km/h (5 mph), with gusts near 18 km/h (11 mph).

Today’s forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies, a high near 34°C (93°F), and a low near 25°C (77°F). Conditions can change quickly during the rainy season, especially in the late afternoon and early evening.

Rain Timing for Thursday

The morning rain chance stays low, then increases after midday. The forecast shows the chance of rain rising into the late afternoon, with the highest signal around 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Light rain is the main forecast, but an isolated thunderstorm is possible this evening. Drivers should watch for slick pavement and short periods of reduced visibility if showers move through the bay.

Heat, Humidity, and Outdoor Plans

The heat will feel stronger than the thermometer suggests because of humidity. The early-morning RealFeel was already near 31°C (87°F), and the afternoon heat could reach 36°C to 42°C (97°F to 108°F), depending on cloud cover and the timing of rain.

The morning is the best time for errands, walking, beach time, and outdoor work. Anyone out in the afternoon should plan for shade, water, and a rain backup.

Beach and Bay Conditions

The Servicio Meteorológico Nacional is carrying a mar de fondo signal for the Jalisco coast, with swell of about 1.5 to 2.5 meters (5 to 8 feet) in coastal areas.

That does not mean every beach in Puerto Vallarta will be unsafe all day, but swimmers and boaters should exercise caution in the ocean. Follow posted beach flags, listen to lifeguards, and check with tour operators before small-boat or snorkeling trips if thunderstorms build over the bay.

Roads and Local Risk Points

No citywide weather disruption was verified early Thursday morning, but afternoon showers could still cause the usual rainy-season trouble spots: ponding on low streets, slick hills, slow traffic near underpasses, and runoff near river mouths.

Lightning is the main reason to leave the beach or pool area quickly if storms develop. Rain may be brief, but storms over the mountains can move toward town with little warning.

A Practical Day in Vallarta

Plan outdoor activities earlier, keep an umbrella or light rain jacket nearby after lunch, and give yourself extra time for late-afternoon driving. The National Hurricane Center reported no active tropical cyclones in the Eastern Pacific early Thursday, so today’s planning concern is local heat, humidity, afternoon rain, and surf conditions rather than a named storm.
