Hurricane Seymour expected to become major hurricane on Tuesday

Here's the latest from the National Hurricane Center:

  • Hurricane Seymour was located about 450 miles southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico, as of late Monday morning.
    Seymour is forecast to strengthen and become a major Category 3 hurricane on Tuesday before weakening later in the week.
  • This system is moving away from Mexico and is no direct threat to land at this time.
  • Seymour is the 13th hurricane of the 2016 northeast Pacific Ocean hurricane season.
