Biological corridors set to protect the Jaguar in Mexico

Measures,like creating biological corridors and protected areas, are tightened to protect jaguar, an endangered species.

The statement was issued by the Alliance WWF-Telcel, the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas (CONANP) and the Institute of Ecology at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).

Alejandro del Mazo, CONANP head, said that the conservation of jaguar is a priority for the Government, while the creation of new protected areas is part of the strategy to meet international goals to which the country is committed.
