300 more Army and National Guard elements arrive in Puerto Vallarta for security

With the aim of redoubling security and the violence that has become a daily occurrence in Jalisco, 300 elements of the Army and National Guard arrived in Puerto Vallarta, as part of the strategy that the government federal has undertaken in the country.

It was Lieutenant Colonel of Infantry, Presidential General Staff, Carlos Humberto Cigarróa Durán, Commander of the Ninth Motorized Infantry Group, who carried out the roll call of the military personnel and national guards upon their arrival to Puerto Vallarta.

The military command explained that with this arrival, patrols will be carried out in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, as well as in Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit.

The objective, also, said the commander, is to carry out socialization actions with the population so that they know more about the Army and the National Guard.

Likewise, Cigarróa Durán said, close coordination will be maintained with municipal and state authorities to ensure the success of this operation.

This is the second arrival of federal elements so far this year, in order to double the security in Puerto Vallarta. The previous one was at the end of April, after the death of an alleged leader of organized crime in Puerto Vallarta.

Puerto Vallarta councilman gunned down in Puerto Vallarta last week

After completing the initial investigation into the events recorded last Friday in a restaurant in Guadalajara, in which the official of the Puerto Vallarta City Council, Salvador Llamas Urbina, was murdered, the State Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that the perpetrators were sitting with the victim at the restaurant before they shot him.

After collecting testimonies from those present and analyzing videos of the restaurant, it was determined that the attack on the also National Councilor of Morena, a political party in Mexico, was orchestrated, in which an armed plan was executed to assassinate him.

At a press conference, the State Prosecutor, Luis Joaquín Méndez Ruiz, pointed out that one of the peculiarities is precisely the way in which everything was designed and planned to carry out the crime that is under investigation.

“The aggression against Salvador is a totally designed, orchestrated aggression; Someone asked me if we had any indications, or if any of the lines of the investigation, there was evidence of participation with organized crime, returning to my answer I told them that participation was evident, now with the progress we have confirmed that line that is being worked on, that it is organized crime that is behind the execution of Salvador”.

The Prosecutor added that the Public Ministry Agent together with all his auxiliary staff and the experts are still working on the analysis of the videos.

“As I repeat, it is a high priority to clarify the facts, find those responsible, confirm what had already been discussed with you in a preliminary way… it is part of the work that continues to be carried out by the agency.”

One of the images shows when Salvador arrives at the restaurant he is carrying a backpack, however that backpack has not been found at the scene.

Likewise, it was confirmed that there is constant coordination with the municipality of Puerto Vallarta in an official manner, since information is required to establish the number of escorts that Salvador brought, the assigned vehicles, and information that will be integrated into the folder as part of the necessary context within investigations.

As part of the evidence secured, nine handguns, nine long guns, and 84 shell casings were listed, in addition to two vehicles, all at the scene.

Additionally, three more vehicles were seized at different points, in which tire puncture devices, clothing, documentation, communication radios, a long weapon, chargers, useful cartridges, and percussion cartridges were located.

Are Puerto Vallarta council members part of organized crime?

Why was a city council member of Puerto Vallarta meeting with organized crime members and what was in his backpack that disappeared? What was his business in Guadalajara? The modus operandi of organized crime and cartels isn’t the planning of assassinations on innocent bystanders. A ruthless murder in such a public way is reserved for those who broke the trust of the group.

Academic John M. Ackerman reported that Salvador Llamas Urbina, director of the Puerto Vallarta Water System and coordinator of Puerto Vallarta’s mayor, “is a drug dealer from Vallarta,” according to the information he has.

John Mill Ackerman Rose is an American-born, naturalized Mexican political activist, TV host, and academic at UNAM.

This morning the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, responded to the accusation by Ackerman.

“That is not known to us, we have no proof. That is, we have to wait for the authority to carry out the investigation for those who are watching this investigation, but judgments cannot be made prior, no results can be anticipated, that is why the investigation is carried out and it will be reported.

“What they should take into account and I think people know, is that we do not establish a relationship of complicity with anyone, it is zero corruption and zero impunity, but also we do not hide anything, it is to carry out the practice that public life be more and more public, but it is not the case of this comrade that they mention, the spokesmen of the oligarchy, of those who are dissatisfied, there are many”, he said.

The President of Mexico is the founder of the Morena political party, in which Salvador Llamas Urbina was a member and representative for in Puerto Vallarta.

In a recent hacking of Mexico’s military, leaked emails suggested a strong connection between organized crime and many elected politicians within the Morena party.

With the aim of redoubling security and the violence that has become a daily occurrence in Jalisco, 300 elements of the Army and National . . .
