Seapal Announces Water Service Disruption in 53 Neighborhoods of Puerto Vallarta for August 5

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico — The Vallarta Potable Water, Sewerage and Sanitation Services System (Seapal) has announced a significant disruption in water service for 53 neighborhoods in Puerto Vallarta on Monday, August 5, 2024. Residents are advised to prepare for low water pressure or a complete lack of water due to necessary repairs on the pumping equipment.

The water cut is expected to affect 53 neighborhoods in the El Pitillal district, including key areas such as 12 de Octubre, Magisterio Expansion, El Mangal, El Progreso, and Brisas del Pacífico, among others. The comprehensive list of impacted neighborhoods also comprises Coapinole, Héroes de la Patria, Joyas del Pedregal, and Vista Dorada.

“Due to repair work on the Cañadas pumping station, this Monday there will be low pressure or a lack of water in the colonies in the upper part of El Pitillal. Store water in advance,” warned the municipal department.

Repair Work and Water Supply Restoration

Seapal Vallarta emphasizes that the repair work is essential for maintaining the optimal operation of the pumping system and ensuring an efficient water supply in the long term. The technicians will be working diligently throughout the day to expedite the repair process and minimize inconvenience to residents.

The water service is anticipated to be gradually restored during the morning of Tuesday, August 6. Residents in the affected areas are strongly encouraged to store enough water for the duration of the outage and adhere to any recommendations provided by local authorities.

Community Advisory and Contact Information

Seapal Vallarta expresses gratitude to the community for their understanding and cooperation during this period of maintenance.
