Water service was interrupted on Monday in Centro, Emiliano Zapata, and 5 de Diciembre after a break in an 18-inch drinking water line.
SEAPAL said the damaged line is near the crossing of Carretera a Barra de Navidad and Púlpito, in the southern part of Puerto Vallarta. The agency said repair crews were already working at the site.
The outage affects some of the city’s most active residential and visitor areas. Residents, property managers, and businesses in the affected neighborhoods may need to limit water use until service returns.
SEAPAL gives Monday night estimate
SEAPAL estimated that water service could return around 9 p.m. Monday, May 18.
That timing was given as an estimate while crews continued repairs. Service may return gradually in some areas after a line repair, depending on pressure and local conditions.
The agency asked residents in the affected neighborhoods for patience while the work continues.
