The airport weather observation recorded 25°C (77°F) at 5:40 a.m., with relative humidity at 94%. Winds were from the north-northeast at 11 km/h (7 mph), and visibility was about 9.7 kilometers (6 miles).
Temperatures are forecast to reach about 34°C (93°F), with an overnight low near 24°C (76°F). Humidity will make the afternoon feel considerably hotter, with apparent temperatures around 38°C to 41°C (100°F to 105°F) near midday and early afternoon.
Rain Chances Rise After Lunch
The morning should offer the most reliable period for outdoor plans. Rain chances remain low through late morning before increasing after 1 p.m.
The hourly forecast shows scattered thunderstorms becoming possible during the afternoon. Hourly rain probabilities reach roughly 50% to 68% between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., with the highest chance near 6 p.m.

That figure represents possible localized maximums across western Jalisco. It is not a prediction that every Puerto Vallarta neighborhood will receive that amount.
Thunderstorms may bring lightning, reduced visibility, and brief stronger wind gusts. The official bulletin warns that the heaviest cells could produce street flooding, rising water in rivers and arroyos, or landslides in vulnerable areas.
Local hourly forecasts show generally light winds of 5 to 11 km/h (3 to 7 mph). The statewide bulletin allows for gusts of 30 to 50 km/h (19 to 31 mph) in parts of Jalisco, especially around thunderstorms.
Beach Conditions Need a Fresh Check
The latest available municipal beach conditions reported Sunday showed waves of approximately 1 to 2 meters (3 to 6.5 feet).
Red flags remained in place at Conchas Chinas, Olas Altas, Burros, Holly and Playa de Oro. Yellow flags were reported at Palmares, Los Muertos, Malecón and Camarones. Red and purple flags were posted near the Cuale River mouth and Marina Vallarta because of sea conditions and possible marine wildlife.
Those were Sunday’s conditions. Beachgoers should check the flags posted Monday morning and follow lifeguard instructions, since restrictions can change by location and during the day.

A Better Window Before Lunch
Outdoor work, errands, and beach visits are best scheduled during the morning. Conditions will become hotter by midday, followed by a greater chance of thunderstorms from early afternoon into the evening.
Drivers should allow extra time later in the day and avoid entering flooded streets. Anyone who hears thunder at the beach or on the water should move indoors and wait for conditions to improve.
