Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Sept. 22, 2026 — Island Princess has moved its Puerto Vallarta call from Wednesday, Sept. 23, to Thursday, Sept. 24, amid Hurricane Polo, according to the port authority’s revised schedule.
The updated September arrival calendar lists Island Princess at pier M1 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday.
Brilliant Lady remains scheduled for Wednesday. The port office gave its arrival as 7:45 a.m. at pier M1, with departure at 5 p.m., according to the same report.
A change for the cruise terminal
We compared the revised calendar with Monday’s published schedule, which had both ships arriving Wednesday. Island Princess had been due at pier M3 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Its call is now set for a different day, berth and time.
That changes the day taxi drivers, tour operators and businesses can expect Island Princess passengers. The cruise terminal sits on Boulevard Francisco Medina Ascencio at Heroica Escuela Naval Militar, according to the port authority’s directions.
Port authorities had announced no closure as of Tuesday, the local report said.
Polo offshore
The National Hurricane Center’s 6 p.m. Tuesday advisory placed Polo about 360 miles south-southeast of Manzanillo, with sustained winds of 175 mph. It forecast rain for coastal parts of Jalisco through Thursday and warned that swells could cause “life-threatening surf, rip current conditions, and coastal flooding” along portions of southwestern Mexico.
