The temperature is expected to reach about 32°C (90°F). Despite the cloud cover, the hourly forecast places the heat index near 39°C (102°F) around 1 p.m., when humidity should remain close to 70%.
Rain remains the main planning issue. Local forecasts differ on the exact timing, but showers are possible during the morning and the risk increases again during the late afternoon and evening.
Rain timing remains unsettled

The same official forecast calls for waves of 1.5 to 2.5 meters, approximately 5 to 8 feet, along the Jalisco coast. Wind gusts of 40 to 60 km/h, or 25 to 37 mph, are possible in parts of the state, especially near storms. Those gusts are not expected to remain constant across the city.

Best window for Friday plans
If the early showers ease, late morning through early afternoon appears to offer the most workable period for errands and outdoor plans. Heat will become more noticeable around midday, even under clouds, so shade, water and lighter activity remain advisable.
Drivers should allow extra time later in the afternoon and avoid streets where water depth cannot be judged. Conditions can change quickly during Puerto Vallarta’s rainy season, particularly once storms begin forming over the mountains.
