Puerto Vallarta Weather Today – July 10, 2026

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, July 10, 2026 – Puerto Vallarta began Friday with mostly cloudy skies and a temperature near 25°C (78°F) at 6:25 a.m. Conditions can change during the day, particularly during the summer rainy season.

The temperature is expected to climb to between 33°C and 34°C (91°F to 93°F), with an overnight low near 25°C to 26°C (77°F to 79°F).

Heat and humidity will build quickly

Humidity was near 81% around 6 a.m., with an apparent temperature of about 27°C (81°F). The heat index is forecast to reach approximately 37°C (99°F) in the late afternoon, even as the air temperature remains near 33°C (91°F).

The hottest and least comfortable part of the day is expected between late morning and early evening. Outdoor work, exercise, and long walks are better scheduled early, with water and shade breaks during the afternoon. The hourly Puerto Vallarta forecast also places the ultraviolet index in the very high range around midday.

Rain chances remain limited in the city forecast

Local hourly guidance indicates a 0% to 20% chance of rain through Friday evening. The slightly higher window appears during the late afternoon, around 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., but widespread rain is not currently indicated for Puerto Vallarta.

The national weather outlook forecasts very heavy to intense rainfall in parts of Jalisco on Friday. That is a statewide forecast and does not mean Puerto Vallarta will receive those totals. It does mean an isolated storm could still develop despite the low city-level probability.

Any thunderstorm that forms could produce brief heavy rain, lightning, reduced visibility and temporary ponding on low-lying streets. Drivers should use additional caution near flood-prone intersections, streams and drainage channels if skies darken later in the day.

Light winds around Banderas Bay

Winds are forecast to remain light, generally between 6 and 17 km/h (4 and 11 mph), shifting between easterly and westerly directions during the day. No broad strong-wind event is indicated for the city.

Beach and boating conditions can still change quickly near a thunderstorm. Swimmers should follow posted beach flags and lifeguards’ instructions, while boat operators should check current port notices before departure.

The Eastern Pacific tropical outlook listed no active tropical cyclones as of 5 a.m. Pacific time Friday.

A mostly workable Friday outdoors

Morning and early afternoon plans should have the most dependable weather, although heat exposure will become the main concern by midday. Carry water, use sun protection, and keep an indoor alternative available for late-afternoon activities.

Rain is possible but not expected to dominate the day. Residents and visitors should continue checking radar and official notices because tropical summer conditions in Puerto Vallarta can shift within a few hours.
