Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, July 11, 2026 – Puerto Vallarta began Saturday with passing clouds, high humidity, and a temperature near 26°C (79°F).
At 6:00 a.m., local hourly observations showed humidity near 75% and a light easterly wind of about 4 km/h (2 mph). The temperature felt closer to 28°C (82°F).
Heat Builds Through the Afternoon
The temperature is expected to climb quickly after 9:00 a.m., reaching about 34°C (93°F) during the afternoon.
Humidity will make conditions feel considerably hotter. Hourly forecasts indicate a heat index near 40°C to 41°C (104°F to 106°F) between approximately 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Afternoon winds should turn westerly at about 10 to 11 km/h (6 to 7 mph), with possible gusts near 24 km/h (15 mph). Anyone working, exercising, or spending several hours outside should schedule breaks, carry water, and use shade during the hottest part of the day.
Brief Shower Window Late in the Day
Most of the morning should remain dry. The chance of a brief shower begins to increase during the afternoon, with local forecasts showing probabilities of about 30% near 5:00 p.m. and as high as 41% around 7:00 p.m.
Rainfall totals are expected to remain limited in the immediate vicinity of Puerto Vallarta. However, any isolated shower could include lightning, temporarily reduce visibility, and leave standing water on low-lying streets.
The national weather outlook places Saturday’s strongest rain risk in northeastern and eastern Jalisco, rather than the state’s Pacific coast. Conditions can still vary locally during the rainy season.
Beach and Marine Conditions
The official forecast calls for waves of 1 to 2 meters, or roughly 3 to 6.5 feet, along the Jalisco coast Saturday. Swimmers should check the flag posted by lifeguards at their beach and avoid entering the water where red flags, strong shore break or rip currents are present.
The National Hurricane Center’s Eastern Pacific update reported no active tropical cyclones in the basin as of 6:00 a.m. Puerto Vallarta time.
Small-boat operators and tour passengers should confirm current conditions via the official port-status system before departure, as restrictions can change during the day.
Best Window for Outdoor Plans
Morning offers the most comfortable period for errands, beach visits, and outdoor activities. Heat will become the main concern from late morning through the afternoon, followed by a limited chance of a passing shower near sunset.
Keep rain protection nearby for evening plans, but widespread or continuous rain is not forecast for the city as of Saturday morning.
