Puerto Vallarta Weather Today – July 25, 2026

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, July 25, 2026 – Puerto Vallarta began Saturday with partly sunny skies and a temperature near 26°C (78°F) at 6:47 a.m. Humidity was about 86%, making it feel closer to 27°C (81°F).

The temperature is forecast to reach 33°C (92°F), with a nighttime low near 25°C (77°F). The combination of heat and humidity could produce a midday apparent temperature of about 37°C (99°F).

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible from late morning through the evening. Conditions can change quickly when storms develop over the mountains or move into the bay.

Rain Chances Increase Around Midday

The hourly forecast for Puerto Vallarta places the chance of rain near 20% during the morning, rising to about 30% around noon. Additional scattered storms are possible through the afternoon, with rain chances returning to roughly 30% late Saturday evening.

Puerto Vallarta may remain dry between storms. However, the National Meteorological Service forecast places western and southern Jalisco under a broader risk of 50 to 75 millimeters, or about 2 to 3 inches, of rain. That regional projection does not mean every part of the city will receive those amounts.

The agency said stronger storms may include lightning, localized wind gusts and possible hail. Brief heavy rain could leave standing water on low-lying streets and reduce visibility during the afternoon or evening commute.

Humid Heat Before the Storms

Temperatures should climb rapidly after 9 a.m., reaching 31°C to 33°C (88°F to 92°F) from late morning through the afternoon. Humidity around 73% to 80% could make it feel several degrees warmer.

Outdoor work, exercise, and longer walks will be more comfortable early in the morning. Anyone outside near midday should take water and allow additional breaks, particularly in areas without shade.

Elevated Surf Along the Jalisco Coast

The federal forecast calls for long-period Pacific swell of 1.5 to 2.5 meters, approximately 5 to 8 feet, along the coasts of Jalisco, Nayarit, Colima and Michoacán.

Wave height inside Banderas Bay can vary by beach, but swimmers should check the warning flag and lifeguard instructions before entering the water. Elevated swell can produce stronger shore break and currents even when skies appear calm.

Local hourly guidance shows generally light winds in Puerto Vallarta. The broader Jalisco outlook allows gusts of 40 to 60 km/h (25 to 37 mph), mainly where storms develop.

Best Window for Saturday Plans

Morning offers the best opportunity for errands, beach visits, and outdoor plans, although a brief shower cannot be ruled out. Keep afternoon activities flexible and move indoors when thunder is heard.

Drivers should allow extra time during heavier rain and avoid entering water-covered streets. Forecasts, beach flags and marine restrictions may be updated during the day as storms develop.
