At 6:27 a.m. Central Time, the temperature was about 24°C (76°F). The latest airport weather station conditions showed light rain, humidity near 94 percent, and light wind.
Puerto Vallarta is expected to reach about 32°C (89°F) this afternoon, with an overnight low near 24°C (76°F). Humidity could make the afternoon temperature feel closer to 37°C (98°F).
Rain and Thunderstorm Timing
Showers remain possible through the morning. The forecast suggests a possible break around midday before thunderstorm chances increase again during the afternoon and evening.
The chance of measurable rain is forecast at near 27 percent in the morning, 26 percent in the afternoon, and 53 percent in the evening. Individual storms can develop quickly, so conditions may vary between neighborhoods.
Mexico’s national weather forecast for July 29 calls for localized rainfall totals of 50 to 75 millimeters, or roughly 2 to 3 inches, across western and southern Jalisco. That regional forecast does not mean every part of Puerto Vallarta will receive that amount.
