PUERTO VALLARTA (PVDN) – In Jalisco, every three days on average, there is a discovery of human remains and decapitated heads in plastic bags.
Disturbing reports continue to emerge from Jalisco as authorities confront a grim series of discoveries: unidentified human remains stashed in plastic bags. The most recent revelation occurred in the Tlaquepaque municipality, where authorities found a dozen packages suspected to contain bone fragments.
It began with a 911 call reporting “anatomical segments and bone fragments” in a gap between the Alfredo Barba and La Piedrera neighborhoods. Responding to the report, Municipal Police arrived on the scene at Arboleda Street, quickly initiating standard protocols after locating at least ten sealed bags.
Even though a human torso and multiple heads were visible, authorities could not ascertain the gender or identity of the victims at the scene. “We located what appears to be three human heads wrapped in plastic, a torso, and several bone segments, showing evidence of days old decay and traces caused by fauna,” announced the State Prosecutor’s Office on July 18.
Immediately, agents from the Public Ministry and the Investigation Police were dispatched to the scene to launch an inquiry. As they began gathering evidence to track down the perpetrators, the State Prosecutor’s Office kicked off their own office and field investigations.
The Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences pledged its expertise to assist in collecting evidence. The remains were transferred to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) for a legal autopsy to determine cause of death.
This incident marks the sixth such finding of human remains in Governor Enrique Alfaro’s state within the first two weeks of July, according to local reports. Other sites include Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Zapopan, and Tonalá.
In related news, the Collective Mothers Searchers of Jalisco have claimed that the State Prosecutor’s Office is obstructing their access to areas containing clandestine graves. They are currently barred from searching in the Tlajomulco municipality due to a recent explosive attack which claimed six lives and left 15 injured.
Contrary to Governor Enrique Alfaro’s assertion that the attack was sparked by the discovery of human remains, the search mothers deny receiving any such call or conducting nocturnal search activities. In response to these developments, various groups marched on July 16, starting from the Glorieta de los desaparecidos, demanding the resumption of search activities.
As Jalisco’s grim reality continues to unfold, the desperate search for loved ones persists amidst escalating violence and unresolved mysteries. The identity and motivation of the perpetrators remain unknown, leaving Jalisco residents fearing what could be uncovered next.
