Chicos Yelapa Launches First Annual SUP and Volleyball Tournament

Chicos Yelapa Beach Club is proud to present the first SUP and Volleyball tournament on March 26 in Yelapa, Cabo Corrientes during the Easter break. The tournament will start at 11am, time at which the owner, Tatiana Rodriguez, will inaugurate the games. The 1.5 Km SUP race will take place right after and the volleyball tournament will commence at 2pm.

“Chicos Yelapa has had three years of experience organizing music events on the beach and this year we wanted to try something different with a day packed with active beach sports, such asSUP and Volleyball,” said beach club owner Tatiana Rodríguez. “Our goal is to make this an annual event since Yelapa has nothing like it!”

Sign ups for the tournament are open. The SUP challenge will cost $150 pesos per person if you have your own board, and $350 per person with board rental included. Participation in the volleyball tournament will cost $125 per person and teams should consist of four people. Teams need a name and it’s suggested they wear something matching to be easily identifiable. There will be cash and prizes for the winners.

Throughout the day the sounds of local DJ Gael Boye will be pleasing our senses. Chicos Yelapa has a panga service that can leave from Marina Vallarta and/or Olas Altas since 9:00am. There is space for 10 people per trip, with a cost of $200 pesos per person, round trip.
