Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco – A 41-year-old foreign man tragically lost his life after falling from the seventh floor of the Loft 268 Building in Puerto Vallarta. The incident occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m., prompting an immediate response from local authorities and emergency services.
According to official reports, the fall was reported to emergency services, leading elements of the Tourist Police, headed by Officer Luis Alexander Pérez Pérez (unit PV-414), to arrive at the scene to initiate the initial investigation. Civil Protection personnel (PC-15), under the command of Second Officer Rolando Villaseñor García, and firefighters from unit B-98, led by First Officer Gerardo Garciabada, also responded to the emergency.
To facilitate emergency operations, authorities temporarily closed nearby roads, allowing paramedics and rescue teams to operate without interference. Despite their efforts, the man was declared dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.
This incident marks the third fatal fall at the Loft 268 Building in recent years. In December 2020, a man died after falling from a balcony in the same complex. Additionally, a young Venezuelan man lost his life after a 22-meter fall while attempting to enter his partner’s apartment.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this latest incident. Residents and visitors are urged to exercise caution and adhere to safety guidelines when occupying high-rise buildings.
