During the first hours of Tuesday, November 15, drug messages hanging around several areas of Guanajuato were reported, where the Jalisco Cartel claimed dominance over the state in cartel battles for control of territory and trafficking routes in Mexico.
The narco messages were found in Salamanca, Celaya, Irapuato, Juventino Rosas, León, and Apaseo el Grande. However, after the discovery of the signs, videos emerged on social networks where hitmen assured that the state is controlled El Mencho, leader of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel ( CJNG ).
The armed men identified themselves as part of the Elite Group, designated as an armed wing of CJNG.
Another recording captured 7 men, some of them armed, this time in civilian clothes, who sent a similar message. The person who appears at the front has a long weapon, behind him six of his companions and in the background a narco message. All those present wore black caps and face masks.
Three more hitmen appeared in a third video wearing tactical vests with the acronym CJNG, also assuring the cartel controls the state of Guanajuato.
What the videos have in common is that in all of them men appeared with their faces covered in front of drug messages and they assured that Guanajuato belongs to Mencho.
The message contained in the signs claimed that the Lexus Bar massacre on November 9 would be the responsibility of a rival criminal group, the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel, not the actions of CJNG, who claim they do not kill innocent people.
The fights between cartels have been registered in recent days, on November 8 members of the CJNG set fire to a building that was allegedly used by members of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel.
It was the San Fermín Clinic, a place that, according to leaked reports from the Sedena, would be a building used to care for members of organized crime. Municipal authorities indicated that they received calls indicating the presence of armed men who entered the building around 10:00 in the morning.
On November 11, another video circulated in which a group of armed men from the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel threatened Santiago Quiroz Zermeño, alias El Chago, who has been designated as the head of the CJNG in Guanajuato.
