Mexico will send medical support to Guatemala

A medical team of specialists will be sent from Mexico to Guatemala to support the emergency work after the recent eruptions of the Fuego Volcano in the neighboring country.

The team will contribute to an assessment of the health status of Guatemalan citizens affected by burns, and if appropriate, transport them to specialized hospitals in Mexico, informed the Ministry of Health through a statement.

"In addition, two mobile medical units and a logistics and supervision unit have been made available to the Guatemalan authorities to carry out primary health care and disease prevention actions in the affected area," the agency . . .
