Pemex to open five U.S. gas stations

Mexico's state-owned oil company says it will open five gas stations in Houston, Texas, as part of an experiment in expanding its presence in the United States.

Petroleos Mexicanos is better known as Pemex - a brand that is seen on all gas stations in Mexico.

The company said Thursday it is starting in Houston because of the city's "high population of Latino origin."
