Playa del Carmen seafloor cleanup removes 2.5 tons

Playa del Carmen says it has hauled more than 2.5 tons of marine debris off the seafloor so far this year. The running total covers January through August 2025 and comes from a string of municipal dive-and-shore operations aimed at keeping public beaches clean and swimmable.
