Hotel Matilda welcomes Millesime chefs as San Miguel event begins
Hotel Matilda hosted a welcome gathering for chefs taking part in the fifth edition of Millesime GNP Weekend, the high-end culinary event taking place in San Miguel de Allende through Sunday.
The gathering was held at the new Bovine space inside Hotel Matilda. The hotel’s managing partner, Bruce James, and operations manager, Maggie Arias, hosted the event as chefs and their teams arrived ahead of the weekend’s scheduled dinners.
The invited chefs include Juanlu Fernández from Lú in Jerez, Spain; Pepe Solla from Casa Solla in Spain; Pepe Salinas from El Balcón del Zócalo in Mexico City; and Jassimran Singh from Crown Shy in New York.
Event spreads across several San Miguel venues
Millesime GNP Weekend is scheduled from May 21 to 24, 2026. The official event information lists Hotel Rosewood as the main venue, with additional events at NUMU Boutique Hotel and Pirules Garden Kitchen.
The program includes chef-led dinners, tastings, wine, cocktails, and culinary activations. The event’s format is a San Miguel version of Millesime GNP in Mexico City, with a more social, public-access format.
Organizers have said the San Miguel edition receives more than 3,000 attendees over four days. That places the event within the city’s broader calendar of food, wine, and hotel-driven tourism activity.
Bovine adds another hotel setting to the weekend
The welcome at Hotel Matilda also placed attention on Bovine, which moved into the hotel this year. Hotel Matilda describes the restaurant as located upstairs, with a dining room, bar, and terrace.
