Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, July 16, 2026 — Puerto Vallarta’s Ceviche and Aguachile Festival will move from Parque Parota to the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center on Sunday, July 26, as the event reaches its 20th edition.
More than 45 ceviches and aguachiles are expected to be served by local seafood restaurants. The selection will extend beyond traditional lime-marinated fish and shrimp dishes, with participating kitchens presenting their own combinations of seafood, chiles, sauces, fruit and regional ingredients.
Guest chefs will judge a culinary competition and select three winning recipes. The festival will also include live music, cocktails prepared with artisanal spirits, craft beer, wine, aguas frescas, ice cream and other desserts.
The complete restaurant roster, entertainment schedule and menu prices had not been published as of Thursday. Admission does not include food or beverages, which will be sold by individual vendors.
Admission is free, with doors opening at noon. The closing time needs confirmation because the official Puerto Vallarta tourism calendar lists 8 p.m., while the festival’s Facebook page lists 9 p.m. Both sources agree on the date, venue, and noon opening. Schedule discrepancies and inconsistencies are just one of the many challenges in reporting events in Mexico. I recommend not scheduling your visit to the festival too close to the end, since the end time is not confirmed across all channels.
The convention center is a significant change from recent editions. Last July’s festival took place at Parque Parota beside Francisco Medina Ascencio, between Plaza Caracol and Hotel Puerto de Luna. PVDN coverage of that edition noted that the festival had completed 18 editions during the decade since its 2015 launch.
A 19th edition followed on February 1, 2026, also at Parque Parota, making the July gathering the second edition this year. That recent winter-and-summer schedule explains how the event has reached 20 editions in its 10-year history.
The move places the festival outside the Hotel Zone, closer to the airport and the central bus station. The Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center is located at Paseo de las Flores 505 in Villa Las Flores. The complex lists parking capacity of 645 cars and 50 buses, although organizers have not identified which hall or exterior plaza will hold the festival.
