Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Christian Preciado Cázares, the Director of Tourism and Economic Development for the Municipality of Puerto Vallarta, forecasts a robust tourist season this November as the city prepares to host a slew of events, including the Puerto Vallarta 2023 Craft Beer Festival. During the festival’s presentation, Cázares indicated that the city is gearing up for a ‘good problem to have’—a lack of available hotel rooms due to the anticipated surge in visitors.
As part of a strategic initiative to bolster tourism, the agency responsible is supporting event organizers in bringing a diverse array of attractions to Puerto Vallarta. “The objective is to keep adding events to attract an ever-increasing number of visitors. This is why we offer support to local and regional businesses,” stated Cázares. He mentioned that some hotels have already expressed concerns over room availability due to the expected volume of travelers.
Craft Beer Festival Takes Center Stage
The upcoming Craft Beer Festival, the event’s sixth edition, will be held on November 18 and 19. Previously conducted on the island of Cuale and in Puerto Mágico, this year’s festival will take place in Hidalgo Park, aligning with the “bridge” of November—a holiday period in Mexico. The festival will feature three local Puerto Vallarta brands, and other participants will include breweries from Guadalajara, San Luis Potosí, and Tijuana, totaling ten producers as of now.
Local Gastronomy and Culture Highlighted
Cázares noted the festival’s focus on craft beer, which he described as a growing gastronomic trend. “It is our responsibility to continue supporting these ventures,” he said, emphasizing that the city also aims to bring events to historically significant venues like Hidalgo Park. In addition to craft beer, the festival will showcase master raicilleros, traditional Mexican spirit producers, from the mountain and coastal regions who will present an assortment of distillates and cocktails.
Tightly Packed Event Calendar
The Craft Beer Festival is just one of the numerous events on Puerto Vallarta’s busy November calendar. The city will also host the Day of the Dead Festival at the end of this month, followed by the International Sport Fishing Tournament and the Gourmet Festival, among others. “People from other cities should consider visiting Puerto Vallarta as the event schedule is tightly packed and offers something for everyone,” concluded Cázares.
With such a lineup of events, Puerto Vallarta’s tourism agencies and local businesses are working in tandem to accommodate the anticipated throngs of visitors while supporting regional enterprises. The bustling November is not just a boon for the tourism sector but also positions Puerto Vallarta as a vibrant cultural and recreational destination for both local and international visitors.
