Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco – The Jalisco State Attorney General’s Office has opened an investigation into the alleged sexual abuse of a minor during a Mismaloya tour in Puerto Vallarta. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon near the iconic Los Arcos de Mismaloya, a popular site for tourist boat rides.
Authorities say a 13-year-old girl was touring the sea with her family aboard the vessel known as “Pirate” when the alleged attacker, nicknamed “El Lobito,” committed the abuse. At the time, the girl’s parents and brother had left the boat to swim. Witnesses reported that the man struck while the family was in open water.
Reports reached emergency services around 1:50 p.m., prompting a swift response by the Municipal Police and first-responder teams. Paramedics transferred the girl to CMQ Premier Hospital, where a forensic doctor conducted a thorough medical examination. Investigators have since relied on hospital findings to guide their case.
Authorities describe the suspect as having fled the scene immediately after the alleged assault. They continue to search the surrounding area and interview witnesses in hopes of locating him. Officials urge anyone with information on the man’s identity or whereabouts to come forward.
Authorities remind the public that sexual crimes carry severe penalties under Mexican law. They encourage anyone with knowledge of the suspect’s identity to contact the Jalisco State Attorney General’s Office or local police immediately.
