Xiutla Municipal Folklore Group Marks 31 Years of Cultural Pride

PUERTO VALLARTA, MEXICO—The Xiutla municipal folklore group, founded by Professor Enrique Barrios y Limón, is proud to celebrate 31 years of uninterrupted activities sharing the vibrant traditions of Mexican dance and music. Since its establishment, Xiutla—whose name comes from the Nahuatl word meaning “place where grass grows”—has become an iconic cultural ambassador for Puerto Vallarta, performing more than 3,700 shows across Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
