Puerto Vallarta Prepares for the Fifth Annual Mango Festival

PUERTO VALLARTA (PVDN) – On Saturday, July 15, Puerto Vallarta will host its fifth annual Mango Festival, a culinary extravaganza that is set to witness participation from at least 25 local restaurants. These establishments will present a spectrum of dishes that celebrate the sweetness and versatility of mango, one of the region’s primary fruits.

The event is organized by residents of Puerto Vallarta, who are determined to promote the city’s gastronomic richness through a showcase of its main produce. The festival aims to attract thousands of people, both local and tourists, to appreciate the creative culinary use of mango in a myriad of dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts.

The festival was officially announced by Paula Jiménez Guízar, the president of the Puerto Vallarta-Highland Park sister cities committee. Guízar, joined by Cristian Preciado, the municipal director of Tourism, and other committee members, presented the details of this much-anticipated event. This year, the festival will take place in the Lázaro Cárdenas park, also known as the Parque de los Azulejos.

The Mango Festival will run from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., providing attendees with an extended opportunity to savor the exceptional culinary delights on offer.

In addition to its gastronomic appeal, the festival has a philanthropic aspect as well. All proceeds from the event will go toward constructing the Casa de la Cultura (House of Culture) for the sister cities of Puerto Vallarta and Highland Park in Ixtapa. This project aims to create a cultural hub that will feature various workshops and spaces dedicated to promoting the cultures of both destinations.

With its enticing combination of cuisine and culture, the fifth annual Mango Festival promises to be a feast for the senses, reflecting the vibrancy and community spirit of Puerto Vallarta. The event stands as a testament to the city’s commitment to honoring its agricultural heritage, promoting its culinary prowess, and supporting valuable cultural initiatives.
