Puerto Vallarta Water Quality is Recertified for Thirty-Fourth Consecutive Time

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – For the thirty-fourth consecutive time, SEAPAL Vallarta has achieved the revalidation of the Certificate of Sanitary Condition of the Water Supply and Quality System for Human Use in Puerto Vallarta. The certification, granted by the Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks of the State of Jalisco (COPRISJAL), reinforces the organization’s commitment to public health and safety.

In a celebratory event held in the town of Boca de Tomatlán, Mayor Luis Munguía proudly presented the achievement, stating that it is a significant milestone for all Vallartans. “This is not only an institutional success, but also a triumph for every resident in Vallarta. It reflects our unwavering commitment to providing a safe and reliable water supply for our community,” the mayor remarked.

Carlos Ruiz, Director General of SEAPAL Vallarta, highlighted the importance of the certification for the region’s reputation as a premier tourist destination. “Our continuous adherence to rigorous quality standards gives visitors the confidence that the water they consume in our city is of the highest quality in the country,” Ruiz said, acknowledging the collaborative effort of his team in reaching this milestone.

SEAPAL Vallarta’s operations comply strictly with Mexican Official Standards NOM-179-SSA1-2020, NOM-230-SSA1-2002, and NOM-127-SSA1-2021. These standards ensure that the water distributed across Puerto Vallarta meets all the required physicochemical and bacteriological parameters for safe human consumption.

The renewal of the certification was also successfully carried out in the town of Las Palmas and the Ecoterra subdivision, underscoring SEAPAL Vallarta’s commitment to providing high-quality water services across both urban and rural areas of the municipality.

This achievement not only reinforces the Government of Good’s dedication to public health but also sets a benchmark for water quality in one of Mexico’s most beloved tourist destinations. With rigorous adherence to health standards and a commitment to excellence, SEAPAL Vallarta continues to serve as a model for water safety and quality management in the region.
