Subscription Terms

Subscription Terms

These Subscription Terms govern paid subscriptions offered on www.vallartadaily.com (“PVDN”, “we”, “our”). They supplement and form part of our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. By purchasing or maintaining a subscription, you agree to these Subscription Terms.

1. Nature of the Service

1.1. A subscription provides time-limited access to full articles and other subscriber-only content available on www.vallartadaily.com, accessed through a supported web browser.

1.2. Subscriptions are personal to the subscriber and may not be shared, resold, or transferred, except as expressly permitted in our Terms of Use.


2. Non-Refundable Digital Subscriptions

2.1. All subscription payments are non-refundable. Our subscriptions provide instant access to digital content that is non-tangible and cannot be returned once delivered.

2.2. By starting a subscription, you acknowledge and agree that you will not be entitled to a refund, credit, or partial refund for any subscription period that has already begun, regardless of usage, perceived value, or early cancellation.

2.3. This non-refundable policy applies to all subscription types, renewal periods, and promotional offers unless we expressly state otherwise in writing for a specific promotion.


3. Subscriber Responsibility for Account and Billing

3.1. It is the subscriber’s sole responsibility to manage their account, subscription status, and billing information. Subscribers may review and manage their subscription details by visiting:

3.2. You must ensure that your payment method remains valid and that your billing details are accurate and up to date. We are not responsible for failed charges caused by expired cards, insufficient funds, or inaccurate payment information.

3.3. If your payment cannot be processed, we may suspend or terminate your access to subscriber content until payment is successfully completed. We are not liable for any loss of access resulting from billing issues under your control.


4. Auto-Renewal and Cancellation

4.1. All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (for example, monthly or annually), using the payment method on file, unless and until you cancel.

4.2. If you wish to cancel your subscription, you must complete the cancellation process before the start of the next renewal period. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current paid term, and you will retain access until that term expires.

4.4. Because payments are non-refundable, we do not issue refunds or credits for partial periods, unused access, or late cancellations made after renewal charges have been processed.


5. Website Access vs Mobile App Access

5.1. A paid subscription guarantees access to full articles only via our website www.vallartadaily.com, using a supported web browser, for the duration of your active subscription.

5.2. PVDN may offer mobile applications through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store as an add-on convenience. The app experience is provided on an “as is” basis, and we do not guarantee app availability, performance, or feature set.

5.3. The PVDN app may be used by subscribers and non-subscribers alike. Access to full articles is still governed by your website subscription and any applicable meter or paywall rules. Your subscription is for website access, not for app availability or functionality.

5.4. Any outages, bugs, or compatibility issues with our mobile apps do not create a right to refunds, credits, or extensions, as long as access to full articles via www.vallartadaily.com through a web browser remains available in line with your subscription.


6. Termination for Violations

6.1. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any subscription, without refund, if a subscriber violates these Subscription Terms or our Terms of Use.

6.2. Violations may include, but are not limited to, account sharing beyond what is permitted, attempts to bypass paywalls or security, abusive behavior toward staff or other users, or any other prohibited conduct described in our Terms of Use.

6.3. Termination under this section does not relieve you of responsibility for any charges already incurred or processed prior to termination.


7. User Conduct and Abuse

You agree to use www.vallartadaily.com and the PVDN App in a respectful manner. You may not use our website, app, or any related communication tools to harm, threaten, or abuse others.

7.1. Prohibited conduct

You may not, in any area of the website or app (including but not limited to comments, replies, profiles, usernames, direct or private messages, contact forms, and support tickets), post, transmit, or engage in any content or behavior that, in our sole discretion, is:

  • Abusive, harassing, bullying, stalking, or intimidating.
  • Threatening, including threats of violence, harm, or other adverse action.
  • Hate speech or discriminatory, including slurs or demeaning language targeting any protected characteristic (such as race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or age).
  • Sexually explicit, degrading, or directed at any person without their consent.
  • Profane, demeaning, or otherwise offensive when directed at or about any individual or group, including other members, subscribers, or staff.
  • Intended to encourage others to harass, threaten, or abuse any person.
  • Otherwise malicious, harmful, or inconsistent with a safe and respectful environment on our platform.

This prohibition applies to conduct directed toward any person connected with Vallarta Daily News, including other users, readers, subscribers, contributors, moderators, contractors, and staff.

7.2. Our right to remove access

We may, at any time and in our sole discretion, without prior notice:

  • Remove, edit, or refuse to display any content you submit, and/or
  • Suspend, restrict, or terminate your account and access to our website and/or app if we believe you have violated this section or any other part of these Terms of Use.

If your account is suspended or terminated for abusive, harassing, offensive, or threatening behavior, you are not entitled to any refund, credit, or extension, and any existing subscriptions will be forfeited.

7.3. Reporting and cooperation

We may review and monitor content and communications on our website and app, but we are not obligated to do so. We reserve the right to investigate alleged violations of this section and to cooperate with law enforcement or other authorities where we believe there is a risk of harm, threats, or unlawful activity.


8. Changes to Subscription Terms and Prices

8.1. We may update these Subscription Terms or adjust subscription prices from time to time. Any material changes will be posted on www.vallartadaily.com and, where required, communicated to subscribers by email or in-account notice.

8.2. Changes will apply to new subscription periods. Your continued subscription after the effective date of the changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms and pricing.
