Tryst Puerto Vallarta is the Area’s Newest LGBTQ+ Hotel

Puerto Vallarta has long been hailed as the premier LGBTQ+ beach destination in Mexico, thanks to its vibrant community and array of tailored offerings. Bolstering this reputation is the recent unveiling of The Tryst Puerto Vallarta, a boutique hotel that not only promises lavish accommodations but also serves as a hub for guests to immerse themselves in the local gay culture.

Set to open its doors this spring, The Tryst aims to foster connections among visitors and locals alike, with plans for drag brunches and rooftop DJ parties set against the backdrop of the city’s famed Romantic Zone. Tristan Schukraft, the director of the hotel chain, envisions the establishment as a place where friendships flourish and romances spark, all within the spirited ambiance of Puerto Vallarta.

Designed by Estudio Esterlina, the architectural masterminds behind the renowned Four Seasons Tamarindo, The Tryst boasts 55 rooms, including a luxurious penthouse suite and several grand suites and junior suites, ensuring a sumptuous stay for discerning guests seeking both opulence and community.

In a nod to its inclusivity, Puerto Vallarta has earned its place among the world’s top LGBTQ+-friendly cities, according to data analysts at Misterb&b. Alongside San Diego, Puerto Vallarta stands out as one of the few beach destinations where LGBTQ+ travelers feel truly embraced and safe. Luis Villaseñor, director of the Tourism Trust of Puerto Vallarta, underscores the city’s commitment to its LGBTQ+ community, citing dedicated spaces and events like the Gayborhood and the upcoming Vallarta Pride 2024.

Mark your calendars for May 22 to 26, as Puerto Vallarta prepares to host Vallarta Pride 2024, an electrifying celebration recognized as the Beach Destination of the Year at the LGBTQ+ Travel Awards Mexico 2023. Under the theme “Sun & the Beach,” this jubilant affair promises an array of festivities, including parades, festivals, parties, and art exhibitions, culminating in the country’s most vibrant and inclusive race.
