Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Hotels, restaurants, and residents along Puerto Vallarta’s bustling Northern Hotel Zone should brace for an eight-hour water service outage on Friday, April 25, as utility crews replace a worn valve on the main supply line.
The Puerto Vallarta Drinking Water, Drainage and Sewerage System (SEAPAL) announced that the shutdown will begin at 8:00 a.m. and is expected to last until 4:00 p.m. The affected corridor runs from Guatemala Street in the 5 de Diciembre neighborhood, past the Olímpica, Versalles, and Díaz Ordaz districts, includes part of Fluvial Vallarta, and extends to the Krystal Hotel.
“The valve on this pipeline has reached the end of its service life. Replacing it now prevents larger failures during peak demand,” SEAPAL said in a statement.
