The mysterious death of Shanquella, an American tourist found in Cabo San Lucas

Shanquella Robinson, a 25-year-old woman from the United States, was found dead inside a room in a tourist area of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Robinson was on vacation in Mexico accompanied by seven friends to celebrate her birthday on October 28.

Authorities located Shanquella’s body and after carrying out the autopsy, it was determined that the cause of death was due to assault, since the woman had a broken neck and spinal cord injuries. What raised suspicion was that in the first statements of her friends, they stated that Shanquella had suffered alcohol poisoning.

The Robinson family’s nightmare began after a call from one of her friends, who first informed them that their daughter had passed out from alcohol and would not wake up. Minutes later they contacted them again to tell them that she had died and that there was nothing they could do.

Shanquella’s mother explained in an interview that the group of friends and her daughter never left the place where they stayed “They had a villa and they stayed there all night. They didn’t come out at all,” the mother, Salamondra, told the media. She indicated she had talked to her daughter earlier that day and that was the last she had heard from her.

According to initial investigations and statements by employees of the building where the group of friends stayed, they arrived on Friday, October 28, and it was not until Saturday, October 29, that they requested medical help.

Emergency elements arrived at the site and a doctor provided Shanquella with CPR, however, she never responded and was declared dead.

Given the facts that leave several questions open, Shanquella’s family demands justice and answers from the people who were with her at the time of her death. According to her mother, her daughter’s friends gave her different and contradictory versions of what really happened.

They said he wasn’t feeling well. They couldn’t take her pulse. Each of those who were with her gave different stories. the mother says.

The case is already being investigated by Mexican authorities and by the FBI, who supported the autopsy performed on the young woman, where they assure that Shanquella died from multiple blows. The remains of the young woman were repatriated to the US two weeks after procedures and paperwork, while the group of friends immediately returned to their respective homes.

Unfortunately, the situation became worse and got out of control, as a video that first appeared on a blog in North Carolina supposedly circulates on social networks, where an alleged fight between Shanquella and a friend can be seen.

The audiovisual shows a naked woman being beaten, while someone outside the frame tells her, “Quella, defend yourself.” It is another woman who brutally beats Shenquella, pulling her and throwing her to the ground so hard that the girl turns and the victimizer takes advantage of her to punch and kick her on the neck, head, and spine.

However, nothing has been confirmed or declared regarding the recording, there are no culprits, detainees, or additional information about the companions.

Until now, Shenquella’s mother continues to fight for the truth about her daughter’s death to be clarified, and she does not intend to stop for any reason, “She had a heart of gold. She loved everyone, and almost everyone loved her. I know that’s not going to bring my daughter back, but I want something done about it,” said the visibly devastated woman in a recent interview.

Another case that caused a stir on social networks was the death of three American tourists that occurred in an Airbnb they rented in Cuajimalpa, Mexico City.

The deaths occurred on October 30, however, it was not until November 9 that local US media spread the news, due to the strange circumstances in which the events occurred.

The young people Kandace Florence, Jordan Marshall, and Courtez Hall were visiting the capital to experience the Day of the Dead festivity up close and rented a place in an area near Santa Fe. According to the information provided, the night when the young people die, hours before they went to have fun at a bar and later returned to their Airbnb. It was then that Kandace contacted her boyfriend to tell him that she felt bad, and thought she had been drugged.

After that call, the tourist’s partner was no longer able to communicate with her again, so he decided to contact the owner of the apartment directly to ask him to visit and verify that everything was in order. The scene that the host discovered was terrifying since the three guests were dead.

Jordan’s family immediately undertook the trip to Mexico City where they spent hours at the police station because, due to the lack of translators, the Mexican authorities could not give them faster attention. Later they went to the United States Embassy, who could not help them either because they could not enter the Airbnb room to retrieve the young woman’s belongings.

According to Reuters, the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office (FGJCDMX) opened an investigation folder into the death of the young people. The first results of the investigation indicated that they died from gas poisoning.

Authorities located Shanquella's body and after carrying out the autopsy, it was determined that the cause of death was due to assault, since the . . .
