Las Islas Marietas tuvieron operativo de vigilancia en vacaciones

El orden que se mantuvo durante Semana Santa y Pascua en las Islas Marietas fue gracias a la coordinación entre la iniciativa privada y las autoridades. Este operativo especial de vigilancia fue originado por las gestiones de la Oficina de Visitantes y Convenciones de la Riviera Nayarit (OVC) y la Comisión Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas (Conanp).

El área de Programas de Medio Ambiente de la OVC Riviera Nayarit, presentó a los prestadores de servicios turísticos la campaña “Se Buscan Héroes”, logrando captar donativos por más de 92 mil pesos en efectivo, presupuesto que se utilizó en costear los servicios e insumos necesarios para el operativo. Además se obtuvieron 60 mil pesos en especie.

La Conanp participó en todo momento, especialmente gestionando con autoridades y tener suficiente capital humano y equipamiento. El operativo contó con dos guardaparques de Conanp, dos voluntarias de Peace Corps, dos vigilantes de Profepa, cuatro elementos de la Secretaría de Marina (Semar), dos paramédicos de la Cruz Roja y una persona de apoyo al interior de la Playa Escondida.

“Debemos destacar la coordinación de la IP y las autoridades. Su interés permitirá dar seguimiento y apoyo a las acciones de vigilancia y equipamiento en las Islas Marietas, para que el turismo sea una actividad que traiga beneficios y no problemas”, comentó el director general de la OVC Riviera Nayarit, Marc Murphy.

Para la operación, los prestadores de servicios turísticos pusieron además una embarcación que permitió una logística ordenada en el lugar y una adecuada revisión del cumplimiento de las reglas del Parque Nacional.

El operativo permitió ofrecer mayor seguridad al visitante, se realizaron inspecciones en zonas de embarque por parte de Semar y la Procuraduría Federal de Protección al Ambiente (Profepa) a fin de agilizar los trabajos de vigilancia en la zona.

El reglamento está enfocado a evitar que el coral sufra daños por anclajes y una mala práctica de la actividad turística, así como proteger las zonas de anidación, pero también a prevenir accidentes de los visitantes.

Las empresas que aportaron donaciones para la campaña de Paralelo 28 “Se Buscan Héroes” fueron: Bahía Alegre, Chica Locca, Sea Mi Amor, Sociedad Cooperativa de Corral del Risco, Vallarta Adventures y Yates de Pesca Deportiva.
