Dogs, cats and other animals head to church in Mexico City to be blessed

Catholic faithful brought their cats, dogs, ducks and guinea pigs to church in Mexico City on Sunday where the pets received a blessing in an old-age tradition.

Marking the feast day of Saint Anthony, known as the protector of animals, pet owners arrived to the San Bernardino Church with their animals for the sprinkling of holy water to protect them from danger and misfortune . . .
