This summer, ultra-low-cost airline Volaris will begin two new flights to and from Puerto Vallarta-Riviera Nayarit. The flights will add another 10 thousand seats to the region, as they will be operating from June through December 2019.
The airline shared a press release that confirmed the Querétaro-Puerto Vallarta/Riviera Nayart (QRO-PVR) and Phoenix-Puerto Vallarta/Riviera Nayarit (PHX-PVR) routes, both operated on Airbus 320 planes with a capacity for 179 seats. The flights start on June 16, 2019, with frequencies on Fridays and Sundays.
The two new routes are in addition to those already established in the Bajío area, as well as Mexico City, Monterrey, and Tijuana.
According to the airline’s marketing department: “Flying different and walking our own way has allowed us grow from five to 170 routes in the domestic and international markets.”
The release added that with the new PVR-QRO route, Volaris seeks to encourage an exchange of tourists between colonial and beach destinations; and with the PVR-PHX flight the company is consolidating its presence in the international market and increasing its destination portfolio.
