A weather front has drenched much of the State of Jalisco with four days of rain, the eastern part of the state and the capital city of Guadalajara have been hit the worst with rains over the weekend.
Monday Civil Protection began pumping out excess water from area stream and rivers, along with cleaning out storm drains to help prevent flooding.
Sergio Lopez, Head of Civil Protections, said that the amount of trash in area streets and rivers are adding to the problem by blocking the city drainage systems.
