On board the Patrol Oceanic vessel (PO-123) “Baranda”, state authorities celebrated Navy Day in Puerto Vallarta with the naval members on the 101st anniversary of Mexico’s National Navy Day.
In territorial waters, the governor of Jalisco, Aristóteles Sandoval, floated the commemorative floral offering in the Bay of Banderas honoring Navy Members followed by local boats.
Prior to the maritime tour, Aristotle Sandoval participated in the ceremonial presentation that is traditional on Navy Day, where members are recognized for their service to the nation through the Mexican Armed Rewards Act.
The event was attended by naval personnel, admirals, captains, officers, cadets, students, civil workers and members of the port captaincies, local and state authorities.
