Beware of New Scam Targeting Tourists in Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco – The Jalisco State Civil Protection and Firefighters Unit has issued a public warning after reports surfaced of individuals posing as Civil Protection officials to fraudulently obtain personal information from tourists and residents in Puerto Vallarta. The scam, which began last weekend, involves phone calls to hotels where the perpetrators claim to coordinate package deliveries in exchange for sensitive personal data.
