Cancellations of ‘spring breakers’ in Puerto Vallarta leaves huge financial losses

The wave of violence in Jalisco and comments by Donald Trump against Mexico are some of the reasons why the 'spring breakers' canceled their reservations in Puerto Vallarta, which implies losses close to $400 million pesos in economic output.

The vice president of the National Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Services, (Canaco Servytur) in Puerto Vallarta, Martin Rodriguez Felix, says that it is a range of between 10,000 and 13,000 cancellations by American students, planned in the holiday period before Easter.

Puerto Vallarta is within the lists of 10 cities with less perception of insecurity in the country . . .
