Puerto Vallarta ranks among the safest cities in the world

The Ceoworld security index lists 334 cities in the world through indicators that estimate the level of crime given to each city.

Mérida, Yucatan, Mexico was placed in the twenty-first position in the list of safest cities in the world, surpassing cities such as The Hague in the Netherlands, where the International Court of Justice is located, or Geneva in Switzerland, which houses the headquarters of the United Nations in Europe.

Mérida is the safest city in Latin America and the second safest in all of the Americas, just behind Québec, Canada.
