Puerto Vallarta Will Host Second Annual ‘Inspiring Lives’ Awards Honoring Exceptional Women Around the World

PUERTO VALLARTA (PVDN) – 180 Women Nominated from 10 Countries for the October 20 Ceremony in Puerto Vallarta, Celebrating their Contributions to Community, Environment, and Culture.

The annual ‘Inspiring Lives’ awards, a prestigious initiative created to honor women who have made significant contributions to their communities, environment, and culture, will hold its second edition on October 20. Spearheaded by María Rodolfa Gómez and her group of female leaders, the event is in partnership with the municipal government led by Professor Luis Alberto Michel Rodríguez.

Details of the awards were announced at a press conference on Thursday, with María Rodolfa Gómez, Mati Covarrubias, and Jacqueline Ruiz leading the charge. They were joined by Christian Preciado Cázares, Director of Tourism and Economic Development, Roberto Ramos Vázquez, Director of the Municipal DIF System, and Martha Ibarra Amarillas, Deputy Director of Business Development.

According to Dr. Gómez, the awards are designed to spotlight the incredible work done by women who serve as sources of inspiration for others. The inception of the awards was inspired by the tireless work that her mother devoted to her community.

The inaugural event held last year received an overwhelming response, and the second edition is on track to replicate its success with 180 nominees from 10 countries including the United States, Argentina, Venezuela, Chile, the Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, Uruguay, England, and Mexico. These remarkable women will be recognized in categories such as Woman Generosity, Woman Mother Earth, Culture Woman, Artisan Woman, Visionary Woman, and Young Dreamer.

Mati Covarrubias, an integral member of the project, shared details about the distinguished international jury. This group of accomplished women will review the nominees’ profiles and accomplishments online to select the winners on July 9. The goal is to establish Puerto Vallarta as a focal point for appreciating and celebrating women’s contributions globally.

In his address, Roberto Ramos Vázquez, Director of the Municipal DIF System, praised women as transformative figures, innovators, and key pillars in the growth of Puerto Vallarta. He stressed the need for acknowledging women’s role in society, asserting that these awards provide an ideal platform for such recognition.

Further support for the awards was voiced by Christian Preciado, Director of Tourism, and Martha Ibarra Amarillas, Deputy Director of Business Development. Both acknowledged the importance of the awards and the significant value of women as agents of change and drivers of societal well-being.

The awards will be presented on October 20 in a grand ceremony at a renowned hotel in the south of Puerto Vallarta. The event will feature enlightening conferences, live music, and various other activities, providing a fitting tribute to the inspirational women who are the heart of our societies.
