A major fire caused panic when it broke out yesterday morning in a downtown apartment. The fire started on the second floor after a gas tank exploded. Due to heavy smoke and initial miscommunication, many people thought an educational center was on fire. But it was confirmed to be a residential apartment. The city's firefighters were quick to respond, using two motorized pumps to fight the flames. All residents in the area were safely evacuated and thankfully, no one was injured. Today, the city is working to recover from this shocking event.

On Tuesday night, July 25, a fireball, or a very bright meteor, exploded in the sky over Michoacán, Colima, and Jalisco. The sky turned from night to day for a moment. People saw a bright flash and heard a loud noise like thunder. Alejandro S. Méndez, a geologist, explained that this was a fireball. Fireballs are pieces of rock from space that explode in the Earth's atmosphere. He said that the fireball was about the size of a small car.

A Fire Department in Washington state donated emergency response equipment to the Puerto Vallarta Firefighters. The donation included a Ford F-Super Duty truck equipped for urban rescue and fire fighting, personal protective gear, and breathing equipment. The project, named 'Operation Southern Blaze,' was led by non-profit where equipment is donated to Puerto Vallarta to benefit the people who live here.
