Tropical Storm Guillermo forms in Pacific, following Hurricane Felicia’s path

Tropical Storm Guillermo is moving toward the west-northwest near 14 mph (22 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue today. A motion toward the west is forecast to begin by late tonight, with that motion continuing through Tuesday. On the forecast track, Guillermo will move farther away from mainland Mexico and the Baja California peninsula over the next several days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Some gradual strengthening is forecast during the next few days.
