Secretary of Tourism for the State of Jalisco, Enrique Ramos Flores , presented plans for a new Tequila Museum to be built at the Puerto Vallarta Marina Terminal.
The announcement was made at the 22nd Annual Cruise Conference in Cozumel, Quintana Roo.
The secretary said that the Marina Terminal would be reconstructed as an entertainment complex to lure more cruises to the area. Currently Puerto Vallarta welcomes 400,000 cruise passengers a year.
Flores also reiterated plans for an aquarium to be built at the Marina Terminal as part of a modernization and expansion of the terminal in Puerto Valllarta.
The secretary said the projects were a combination of state and entrepreneurs working together with private investments.
Flores did not provide details of when the construction of these projects would begin. The revitalization of the Marina Terminal and the construction of an area Aquarium have been rumored for years in Puerto Vallarta.
Whether or not the announcement meant the project was becoming a reality or not, it sure grabbed the spotlight at the cruise conference.
