Closure of Balaena Costa Apartments in La Paz upholds coastal environmental law

Profepa ordered the final closure of the Balaena Costa Apartments project on July 9 after developers failed to secure an environmental impact authorization, reinforcing protections for the Ensenada de la Paz and El Mogote wetlands in Baja California Sur and marking a key victory for coastal conservation and regulatory compliance.
