Puerto Vallarta International Airport Expands Winter Schedule with 10 New Weekly Flights

Puerto Vallarta International Airport is set to enhance its connectivity for the 2024-2025 winter season by introducing ten new weekly flights. This expansion will offer travelers over 7,000 additional departure seats across several new routes, according to Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP).

The new flights are scheduled to commence this month, providing increased options for both international and domestic travelers seeking to visit the popular resort destination.

Sunwing Airlines Launches New Route from Quebec

Sunwing Airlines will inaugurate its weekly service from Bagotville, Quebec, starting December 8. This new route is expected to offer approximately 736 outbound seats per month, catering to the growing demand from Canadian tourists looking to escape to Puerto Vallarta’s sunny beaches during the winter months.

Alaska Airlines Expands Presence with Multiple New Flights

Alaska Airlines, a long-standing partner of Puerto Vallarta, is significantly boosting its flight offerings. Beginning January 6, the airline will introduce two new routes:

  • A weekly flight from Sacramento, California, providing an average of 712 outbound seats each month.
  • Four weekly flights from New York, which will collectively offer 2,848 seats per month.

Further expanding its footprint, Alaska Airlines will add weekly services from Kansas City and St. Louis starting January 19. Each of these routes will contribute 712 outbound seats per month, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to connecting key U.S. cities with Puerto Vallarta.

Southwest Airlines to Begin Service from Sacramento

In addition to Alaska Airlines, Southwest Airlines will launch a weekly flight from Sacramento on March 7. This new service will add another 712 departing seats each month, offering travelers another convenient option to reach Puerto Vallarta.

Boosting Tourism and Accessibility

The introduction of these ten new weekly flights underscores Puerto Vallarta International Airport’s dedication to enhancing accessibility and supporting the region’s robust tourism sector. By expanding its flight offerings, the airport aims to accommodate the increasing number of visitors seeking the vibrant culture, stunning beaches, and year-round pleasant climate that Puerto Vallarta is renowned for.

Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) expressed enthusiasm about the new additions, highlighting the collaborative efforts with major airlines to meet the evolving travel demands. “These new flights not only provide more options for our passengers but also strengthen Puerto Vallarta’s position as a premier winter destination,” a GAP spokesperson said.

As the winter season approaches, travelers can look forward to a broader range of flight choices, making it easier than ever to experience the beauty and hospitality of Puerto Vallarta.
