PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico – Nearly 11,000 international visitors arrived in Puerto Vallarta on Monday, marking the second major double arrival of cruise ships this month and providing a significant economic boost to the local tourism industry.
The first vessel to dock was the Carnival Panorama, which reached Pier 1 at 8:42 a.m. after departing Long Beach, California. On board this 323-meter-long ship were 4,213 passengers and 1,430 crew members. Following their stay, the Carnival Panorama is scheduled to continue its journey to Mazatlán, Sinaloa.
Later, at 11:00 a.m., the 333-meter-long Norwegian Bliss moored at Pier 3. Arriving from Cabo San Lucas and preparing to depart onward to Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala, the Norwegian Bliss carried 3,696 passengers and 1,642 crew members.
In total, 10,981 guests and crew members from these two ships disembarked to enjoy the city’s attractions on a warm and sunny day. Visitors explored Puerto Vallarta’s renowned gastronomy, cultural traditions, and the distinctive character of this popular coastal destination.
Officials and business owners anticipate the influx of international travelers will leave a substantial economic spillover, as passengers frequent local shops, dining establishments, and tour operators, further solidifying Puerto Vallarta’s reputation as one of Mexico’s most sought-after cruise ports.
